How to exclude file/folder from backup (pkgacct) on cPanel server?

Is it possible to exlude file/folder from the full cPanel backup on cPanel server?

Solution :-

There are two ways to exlude file/folder from the full cPanel backup on cPanel server -

1) Global exclude file (root access needed).
2) Local exclude file

1) Global exclude file -

This option is used to exclude files/folders from the backup for all users hosted on the server by adding file/directories name in /etc/cpbackup-exclude.conf file.

Below are the example contents of /etc/cpbackup-exclude.conf to exlude backup files and access-logs for all users hosted on the server -

access-logs
backup-*

2) Local exclude file -

This option is used to exclude files/folders from the backup for individual user hosted on the server by adding file/directories name in /home/username/cpbackup-exclude.conf file.
